This is one of my most used recipes. It is known at our house as "Leah's Favorite Rice", although Anna thinks it should be called her favorite rice... but Leah staked claim first. I make this all the time, because it is the perfect, easy side dish that goes with everything.
Leah's Favorite Rice
1 cup orzo (rice shaped pasta)
1 cup rice
4-6 Tbsp butter
4 cups chicken broth (or 4 cups water with 5 tsp of chicken bullion granules)
Brown Orzo in butter over medium high heat. Add rice and broth. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for about 20 minutes or until liquid is gone and rice is tender.
